The first Dewi-Prys Thomas Prize was awarded in 2003. Forty-one nominations were received with the following being announced at the tenth-anniversary conference of the Royal Society of Architects in Wales (RSAW) in Cardiff on 21 November 2003:

Prize:<\/em>\u00a0silver medal and \u00a32,000 (donated by Foster and Partners to the National Botanic Garden of Wales).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
